Sigmund Freud was once in Croatia, on the island of Brijuni and in Pula. Today he would only have to walk two houses further in Berggasse to dream of Croatia.
Those who dream of the Adriatic will find what they are looking for in Berggasse in Vienna: the Kožul family has been cooking Croatian specialties there for 25 years. Buzara is the typical dish of Dalmatia, the Adriatic dream dipped in white wine sauce. Anyone looking for this on the Danube will find it in the ninth district of Vienna. Because here in Berggasse, Freud at number 19 and Fisch at number 15 are close together.
“We are a family business. We are originally from Dubrovnik, located in the very south of Dalmatia. The origin also explains the name of the fish restaurant: for centuries Ragusa was the name of the maritime city-state.”
For those who prefer classic fish, we recommend branzino, sea bream or sole. The latter is a flatfish and a delicacy. But whatever: the Croatian cuisine is of course more diverse - it's worth trying.
